So I just happento click some random blog (okay okay it was VCU art education- hardly random, but I didn’t know it existed until people I followed reblogged them) and they just happento be blogging about education reform. Why is it I always thought of art education as something so dry and dull? Kathleen LOVES education reform. Why didn’t Kathleen ever connect the two? Well, mainly because Kathleen didn’t see said blog’s post about this beautiful gem. Now Kathleen is sad she missed said Richmond event. (okay okay, it’s unrealistic anyways. Kathleen was still in Charlotte then.) Said blog should update more often…
In the meantime, I was just trying to wrap up my mini-presentation on Matthew Barney who is really weird and amazing but mainly weird. That’s only a fraction of the feel his art gives off. Anyone who sees this should check out his Cremaster Cycle. It’s like, classy trippy or something. In a hospital ward. With fantasy.
