Time studio final: lecture on portrait drawing.

Photographed by my professor, Justin James Reed.

These guys are super hard to shoot. One or two always gets blurred on the edge. Alas~

Themed Invisible/Camouflage in that many mental disorders are hidden (and easily done so) by acting normal, hence camouflaging oneself with normality.

From left to right: Personality disorder, phobias, depression, and dermatillomania.

I don’t know if I’ve posted this before, but I’ve been really fond of this drawing! I burned it a little to bring out the lines- sometimes I can convince myself that I’m illustrator material. Sometimes… Still going into Craft because it’s awesome! (And their building doesn’t feel like a clean dungeon!)

Wow, I didn’t realize how many ladies I drew together. Wow, just wow. I might be going through chronic hug withdrawal.

Just got done with open drawing studio with this lovely lady. She’s a two hour one. I admit the shading isn’t the most accurate in the world (cough okay not really at all) but that’s okay.
I should post the one from last week too, but she has no shading.
Off to do some flash fiction! Even though I ain’t all that great when it comes to social problems! Eek!

Also, this little set of drawings is a personal favorite. Komikka is my friend on the right, and Sarah is the one on the left. Super great people, and super great models!

I am still convinced the work in progress shots made a cooler art piece, but surface rules are surface rules, and if no negative space is permitted, then I will waste five hours of my life bubbling in the background with small black squiggles. And by squiggles of course I mean circles. For an A I do.

Welp! That was fun! (just kidding it was horrible okay maybe not as bad as the first three projects)

Back to medical anthropology now~

DONE DONE DONE SO DONE wow that uploaded kinda weird.

Working on my next surface project. Oh the things I have to do for this class.

I have a tendency to always over-draw my nose. I still can’t figure out how to correct it…
OH WELL DON’T CARE

hopefully this goes well.

The last picture is the photo I almost used for reference, but it was a little too angry. I must have been thinking about the project when I looked into the camera. Ooh, the angst~

GPOY-no just kidding! Finally, photos of the Orifice project. Probably by far my favorite piece of art that I have ever made. Just kidding. But it ranks!

Next is the “video-performance, inspired by the book” assignment. Don’t worry, it’s clean.

“Clean”

dpi and file saving will be the death of me. I really believe that this time.
A themed illustration for Kappa Pi, the fraternity I’m in. The theme was “evolve” so I went with a weird sort of nature-versus-man-meets-positive-nature-fertility-meets-negative-human-fertility imagery. Essentially, it’s an environmental piece.
I should really start signing my art more often. I keep forgetting and going back and doing it in the digital file. But there it is- my insignia of KEB in one letter.

A small project done for the art fraternity I’m in. We simply had to make a work that was 5x5 inches, and this was my result. A small family portrait of Henry, Damian, and Henry’s half sister who’s name I still haven’t settled on yet.

As is the wonderful literature I invest far too much time in, this comic is drawn from right to left.
GPOY or so the internet people say…
